The 2002-2002 show season was very active for Awesome Acres. We
acquired a 1997 Sundowner 3-horse trailer with living quarters that has become
our road home. It has worked out very well for doing shows, particularly
when we roll up to a show site at 2AM. Sassy had a great year, winning 14 AKC points and three majors. Sumo was likewise having an outstanding year
until September 20, 2001, when he wound up being someplace he shouldn't have
been, and got a butt full of birdshot courtesy of a farmer that just didn't
understand. He has made an incredible
recovery, and will return to the show ring for the 2002-2003 season.
Watch for pictures and the story of "The Sumo Affair" and his miraculous recovery,
coming soon.
